About Us

Statement of Faith
In essential beliefs, we embrace unity, as stated in Ephesians 4:4-6: "There is one body and one Spirit... one Lord, one baptism; one God and Father of all."
In non-essential beliefs, we allow for liberty, reflected in Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22: "Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters... Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls... So whatever you believe about these things, keep yourself and God."
In all our beliefs, we emphasize charity, as expressed in 1 Corinthians 13:2: "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not, I am nothing."
The Essentials We Believe:
About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1, 1:26, 1:27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1Peter 1:2; 2Corinthians 13:14
About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1: 1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1: 3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13
About the Holy Spirit
Briefly describe your degree and any other highlights about your studies you want to share. Be sure to include relevant skills you gained, accomplishments you achieved or milestones you reached during your education.
About Human Beings
We believe in the sanctity of the unborn human life that is created by God and begins at conception. People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous
potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God, called sin. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 3:3-6, 139:14-16; Isaiah 53:6a, 59:1-2; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 1:4-6
About Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s over of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ to his life by faith. Romans 5:1, 6:23; Ephesians 2: 8-9; John 14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 10:9
About Church Ordinances
Jesus never asked His disciples to remember His birth, but He did instruct them to remember His death and resurrection. He gave the church two visible symbols, called ordinances, as a reminder of His death. These two ordinances are: Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. We are baptized by immersion to follow the example set by Christ, to demonstrate that we believe in Christ, and to illustrate a new spiritual life through His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is a simple but solemn occasion for a believer, which represents a memorial of sacrificial offering of Christ’s body and blood to seal the New Testament covenant between God and man. We should prepare ourselves to observe the Lord’s Supper by self-examination, confession, recommitment, and restoring relationships.
Mark 1:9; Matthew 3:16, 5:23-24, 28:19-20; Acts 2:41, 18:8; 1Corinthians 11:23, 11:27; Romans 6:4, 12:1; 1John 1:9
About Eternal Security
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot lose it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.
John 10:29; 2Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25, 10:10, 10:14; 1Peter 1:3-5
About Eternity
People were created to exist forever. We will exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him in heaven is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real
places of eternal existence. John 3:16; I John 4:17, 5:11-12; Romans 6:23, 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1Corinthians 2:7-9
About Marriage
Marriage is the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in loving companionship and commitment for a lifetime. The concept is first mentioned in Genesis 2:20-25. It is God's unique gift to provide for the man and woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship and procreation. Covenant marriage also illustrates the union between Christ and His church. We believe that Ephesians 5:21-33 is the normative expression of covenant marriage. Genesis 2:20-25; Ephesians 5:21-33
